Eerie

Two nights ago my friend and I got to talking about the band Sigur Ros and the country of Iceland. We talked about how awesome they are and we should go there to see what kind of a place inspires such creative music. He mentioned wanting to learn Icelandic.

The next morning, the Steep and Cheap email was all about Sigur Ros. My friend got an Amazon book suggestion about learning unusual languages and my email from the Anthrologie list today is a catalogue all shot in-you guessed it-Iceland.

It almost seems dumb not to get just get on a plane and see what the universe is so insistent about.

I want to go to Iceland too. Really bad. BUT, since I probably won't be going any time soon, I ordered a free sample of Icelandic Health's Omega 3 Fatty Acid (fish oil in a soft gel tablet=a taste of Iceland?). The advertiser's accent was enticing and it's from Iceland. Must be great, right? I am such a sucker.

Even more eerie - you know that Amy Buell (who reminds me a lot of you - she even knows Mikael and Senja!) and I just went to Iceland for Labor Day, don't you? Well, you do now. We met some awesome people and had a great time. Feel free to ask either of us for travel information if you do decide to go. I should warn you, though, Iceland has been declared the most expensive place to visit in Europe, and that's no empty claim.

Hey, I meant to ask...you mentioned you were in Chicago for work the other day, did you happen to meet up with Mark Burnasis for an old rekindling?? ;)

Even more eerie, I just got done reading Kate's (the corner on kitty) blog about how her and Ryan went to see Sigur Ros. What is going on? Are they taking over the world?
