Harrassed

I was at a bookstore picking up a couple of things before heading to a meeting the other night. I was wearing some new pants that if I may brag for just a moment-make my butt look awesome. As I was leaving there were some people outside the store soliciting signatures for a petition. I really didn't have the time or desire to talk to them so when the guy asked me if I had a minute I tried to politely say no and keep walking. To which he yells after me, in a construction worker-esque tone, "well you look good walkin' away." And the feminist side of me kind of wanted to turn around and ask him if he really thought talking to me like that would make me sign his stupid petition.

But the really girlie part of me looked at her and said, "but seriously, these pants really are fabulous."

Work it, sister. Work. It. Feminism is overrated when it comes to great fashion that looks great on you!

I'd definitely take the compliment and run. I love flattering pants!

When ever someone yells about my rear end I thank them politely.

Funny story....certainly feel free to "work it" per Chloe's instructions. I used to look at my arse in the mirror when sporting my Guess jeans umpteen years ago. Now I wonder where my arse ends and my legs begin.....(shockingly honest !)

re: petitions...a month or so ago I stopped to have the oil changed in the car.
As I paid the bill, a petition was placed in front of me....nice lady explained its purpose...."we're opposing the Kwik-Kar Oil Change facility opening up down the street....there are enough oil change places already, we don't need another one".

I gave her the most puzzled look in my history of puzzled looks at that point.

Take it, for sure. You know when you look good...why stop others from appreciating the view?

That dude's an amateur. If he really wanted you to sign his petition, he would've said something about your.....

That is SO a Liz Lemon moment!
You need to help me find "good jeans." I always just pick ones I can zip up, but ALL my friends say that good jeans make a huge difference. Teach me how to get sexually harassed on the street by strangers, Katie. Teach me.
