Word on the street is that the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty isn't moving any product. But I applaud them for addressing the way the beauty industry can affect women. This latest edition is probably my favorite.
I'm a girl who loves make-up, clothes, hair products, skin care and on and on and ON. But I'm glad I grew up in a house where there was equal, if not more, emphasis on smarts and hard work and being a productive member of society. I think my sisters and I turned out OK.

I love the approach, it's a great piece no doubt...I imagine we won't see any Dove spots in Dr.90210
Interested to see where this goes down the road.
So...I love this, too. And, I think it would move product if the product was good (just the skin care professional speaking out). Although, I actually thought about buying Dove deodorant tonight in support of the add, whereas I wouldn't have before.
Although, it's interesting that, in their effort to address society norms (which are unhealthy) they pause for quiet a while on the semi-naked dancers. Something to think about.
Did you ever see the Body Shop print adds (billboards) in Switzerland when we lived over there? There was one that I loved of a "fat" barbie. I'll have to see if I can find it anywhere. It was fantastic!
i think your family is great...i totally adore all of you.
Do you know who sang the song on that ad? I love it. And the ad is really powerful.
Incredible commercial.
I can vouch for Dove deodorant, Chloe. It's very gentle on newly shaven skin.
