Spin the Bottle

A funny thing has happened. I finish up with the Youth Olympic Games in Austria near the end of January and then have a big meeting in London the first week of February.

When I proposed to my higher ups that I stick around Europe and take a few vacation days rather than play time zone roulette, I got the green light.

So I have this lovely dilemma wherein I have about 7 days to get from Innsbruck to London with no real firm idea of where I want to go along the way. Spend a few days in Paris? Visit a friend who just relocated to Zurich? Book an Easyjet flight to Alicante? Or Inverness? Trains? Planes? Road trip?

It's like the most deliciously exciting prospect ever...seven unknown days.

So I ask you internet...thoughts? Where would YOU go? I mean, I'm going to blog the SHIZ out of it so maybe you guys should speak up about what you want to read.

SPAIN! SPAIN! SPAIN! SPAIN!

Granada would be lovely this time of year. You could also hit up Seville. Gorgeous.

Prague or Cinque Terre. Cinque Terre would be a great way to decompress between your gigs -- you could also take the train from Cinque Terre to Barcelona and enjoy the amazing view.

You have so many good options!

I live in Zurich :) And i think you know that Switzerland is a lovely place to visit. Zurich itself in my opinion has not much to offer but the nature in Switzerland is unbeatable. If you are in Austria you should definitely check out Vienna. I love that city. Also one of my favorite european city is Prague. A very romantic and beautiful place. However if you want to go somewhere warmer then you should go to Rome or Spain. It will be warmer there.. also a nice option you could check out some of the canary islands if you want a real vacation with beach.
Cinque Terre is a good suggestion. Unfortunately it has suffered a lot from flooding damage in the last weeks and a lot of the beauty has been destroyed.
Oh.. and by the way.. i am a friend of Senjas :)

According to Google maps, it will take 8 days and 10 hours to walk those 1,143 km, so I don't suggest that. Driving is a mere 13 hours. Seeing as I don't know what cities you've had the pleasure of visiting before.... Make an amazing adventure of it! We can all live vicariously through you (no pressure eh?)!

I would do Prague, Dresden (visit the little town of Seiffen on the way -- it's where Nutcrackers originated and well worth the visit), then Berlin, then west to Paris and through the tunnel to England...

Wait, how many days do you have?
